We have just held out 10th anniversary Aussie FJ Rally here. I have created a little video of the event. Please Enjoy. Sorry about the music on the Vid....lack of options and needed something to mask the wind noise from my cam (had wrong mic selected)

Great stuff Mark, everyone loves a rally and what a great attendance, if only we could whip up that sort of enthusiasm down here.

The camaraderie within the group never ceases to amaze me and increasingly, partners are becoming part of the fixture as well. I have now met 8 or 9 of the WAGS and they are without exception, great sorts.

Unfortunately work made it impossible for me to attend this year. I pleaded with my boss for the time off and told him the customers would just have to wait but he wouldn't buy it. Such are the problems of being self employed! I live in hope that too old to work arrives before too old to ride, by some margin.

Glad everyone had a good time, looking forward to next year.

Alf, Greg and I got home this afternoon at around 4.30. Gavin farewelled us at Goulburn after traveling with us for the entire journey.
We covered 4,290 kms and saw some great roads along the way.
A big thank you to Ray and Alena for organising the event and the Rally shirts. Also, thanks to all those who made the effort to attend.
It's a shame the Victorians can't find the enthusiasm to attend one of these great events.
  Regards, Pete.   :good2:
PS. Thanks to Mark and Chrissie for being great hosts and a tour guide around the Grafton area.

Thanks Mate, but the only thing I noticed, was that the "Upper Class" models tend to be fussy and need a chauffeur to tow them around  :dance2:

So I take it you trailered it on the group ride-out as well.

As my wife would say "it's sacrilege"...........taking a bike to a rally by trailer would get you laughed out if town here. "Trailer Queen's" as they are known here, are the butt of many jokes and much sarcasm  :sarcastic:

The UK being as small as it is, easily justifies the term trailer queens for those that tow their bikes to events.
Having ridden all over the US, I still used the term freely to mock the supposed girlie men.
However, as I've aged a bit, I can see the sense in trailering to a riding event, even though I've still always ridden.  (don't have a trailer)
A couple of years ago, after riding to a central rally, the last thing I wanted to do was razz round the curves of unfamiliar roads early the next morning, so I ended up missing a day group ride which was the very thing I had gone to do.
Upshot is rallists attending rallys in the US or Australia should qualify for some clemency before being tarred with the effeminate slur.
Obviously it will have to be taken on a case by case basis. I look to the forum to suggest a suitable threshold pre-rally travel distance.
That is all.
life without a bike is just life
