.   Words can be tricky. You certainly wouldn't want to ask an Australian about what to do when wandering upon a landing strip in the middle of nowhere.

So do you wear them as a pair? One in front to soften the impact of hard braking against the tank, and one in the rear to prevent the pucker effect of wide open throttle?  :sarcastic:
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

The World according to Monkey Mark, is a very strange place indeed.

The Mouse Motel.
The western part of New South Wales has been hit with a massive mouse plague. Lots of squashed mice on the roads. We evicted three dead mice from our room the first morning and spotted at least another two. After lunch in Narrabri, we bought some sticky pad mouse traps and set them last night and, this morning, nabbed another two of the little blighters plus another dead one we found when we got back from Narrabri.
The motel operator told us that the plague was still a little to the west of them but approaching. It's nbear impossible to keep them out as they will find the smallest possible openings to get inside.

Great picks from the other side of the world . If there was so many mouses there you should check the airbox (if not pods)  that Mickey mouse not moved in they like airboxes

Home safe.

Got very muddy and wet for the last hour or so before home. Bike and gear performed faultlessly. The rider maintained a perfect record for being a knucklehead  :sarcastic: .

Re the mice at Bingara, at the dinner I chatted to some of the local farmers (top blokes, very friendly and welcoming), one of them showed me a video from one of his sheds. Literally thousands of mice scattering when he switched on the light. He used two bucket traps in just that one shed (big farm, lots of sheds) and each was catching and killing at least 200 each night. Any single catch traps not emptied and re-set become targets for other mice and they're eating the ones killed in traps, but seem to be favouring eating off the top of the skull and then the little brain!

ZOMBIE MICE !!!!! ZOMBIE MICE !!!!! ZOMBIE MICE !!!!! ZOMBIE MICE !!!!! ZOMBIE MICE !!!!! ZOMBIE MICE !!!!! ZOMBIE MICE !!!!! ZOMBIE MICE !!!!!

Rolf, Good point mate. If their first trip didn't kill them, they probably find another 'home' once the bike is parked for a while.

The mice are indigenous to Australia, not imported. These plagues happen infrequently, but are not unheard of. It will likely end in 3 to six months. The farmers said the mice are eating the some crop and feed, but mostly native grass seeds. They'll likely turn to other food sources like more crop and feed, but being indigenous, they really need the native grasses to survive in large numbers. The main cause is the native grasses have proliferated due to the drought ending, so really this is basically a self balancing thingy from nature. Its actually a good thing for all the native predators, especially the endangered ones, as they've now got a plentiful food source and will hopefully breed up as well.

We have just held our 10th anniversary Aussie FJ Rally here. I have created a little video of the event. Please Enjoy. Sorry about the music on the Vid....lack of options and needed something to mask the wind noise from my cam (had wrong mic selected)
