It's a matter of "Why Not?"  The "Flying Millyard" 5 Litre V Twin first test run  Read the video description.  Now what do you use it for?  Motorcycle?  Morgan?  I like how it starts to hover from the vibrations when he revs it up.  Check out his Youtube channel  https://www.youtube.com/user/millyardviper/videos.  6cyl Z1's,  6cyl 350 Hondas, 5cyl 2stroke Kawis, Viper engined motorcycle.  I guess he believes in the axiom more is always better regardless of size.

He's basically our current number one motorcycle genius and probably the most famous motorcycle engineer alive in the U.K. today.

He builds his bikes in his home workshop (a VERY well equipped workshop) and has made a lot of them. I think my favourites are the V8's using z900/z1000 engines, his 5 cylinder 2 stroke Kawasaki's, his 4cylinder watercooled "Kawasaki" which used Yamaha RDLC bits and his little Honda L twins, using 50cc-90cc Honda Cub engines.

And he's not afraid to run them..........

He's on facebook and is a friendly guy.

Really enjoyed watching him build the 6 cylinder Kawasaki bit by bit.

The fact he shares his secrets and craftsmanship in just too good to be true.

The V12 bike might be a bit over the top -

Making it about right!

I'm a recently converted Millyard fan.  I like the Z1 six the best but it is all good.

I now use my Swiss Army knife scissors to cut out gaskets.

It's just stunning how simple he makes some of it look.

I've been a fan for years, following his early conversions in Classic (Motorcycle) Mechanics mag. My favourite is the Honda C90/SS180 V twin.

Steve/Bryan - you should subscribe to Classic & Motorcycle Mechanics magazine. There's a Millyard feature/project/tip/bike every month - every one makes fantastic reading   :good2:

All his videos are great!

I want to see how he pieces together the cylinder heads and camshafts for his 6 cylinder creations!

fj1289

Forgot to mention - the 6 cylinder "Honda" was built from Yamaha FZR250's!

The whole process of the six cylinder engine build is being detailed currently in CMM (May and June issues so far) from hacksawing the various engines apart by hand, to milling and pressing up the crankshaft and machining the cam covers.....can't wait for July's issue

I watched all the Kawi 6 videos I could find.  But I didn't see where he got the crankcase from.  Amazing skills.

He posted that he is going to release a video/slide show 10 June at 1300.  If you go to his channel and check out the Community tab you will see that post.

What he really needs to do next is graft another grill to his existing one so all the 6 cylinder creations will fit!
