Randy and Robert, thank you for helping me sort out my carby issues. FYI I'm in Australia Perth but both these champions had time to help me sort out my carby issues, I had a dyno done and this showed a flat spot at 5 to 6000 rpm created by a rich mixture, I didn't realize that the XJR 36mm carbies had different slides which had smaller vacuum holes (other bits, jets were from std FJ carbies).
I can't believe how much effort you made to help me.
First major bike in my life was a Mach III widow maker.
My Second permanent bike 1978 Z1R (owned since Dec 1977)
My Third permanent bike is the 89 FJ12 - nice and fast
Forth bike 89 FJ12 my totally standard workhorse
81 GPZ1100 hybrid - what a bike, built to sell but I can't part with it
