I got a used one off scambay, in very good looking condition
it has threads and collars,

not like the one with steps

i am lightweight around 140 lb with gear on a heavy day

the rate stamped on the spring says #1181 850/1200

maybe it means progressive at 850lbs then 1200lbs idk

anyone can comment on how i should adjust the preload as a baseline before i install it?

it's a bitch to do it now, i can't imagine doing it on the bike

should i back it off all the way and give it 1-2 mm preload, i reckon, i don't need much at all and perhaps the spring is too heavy to begin with and i am not gona swap it out

thank you again fjowner's
