air screw equilibration

I am going over my carbs and was wondering where I read about the air screw setup to get them all equal by feeling for the tip of the screw in the top of the carb as it starts protruding into the carb orafice.

It's the remainder of that technique that I cannot remember.  thanx

Run them out until the tip is flush with the carb throat, accomplish this by dragging your thumbnail until it no longer catches. Once at this point back them out one complete turn. Voila! Done.

I would toss the stock 37.5 pilots in the garbage too. Switch them to 40s you will be much happier with the bike at startup when cold.

Yes. We put 40s in every set we build unless it is a big bore or already has 160 air bleeds.

it never has run well idle to 2200 rpm until it warmed up.  And never started quickly like it should.

I guess I'm a little confused on what exactly your adjusting. My bike doesn't seem to idle well at all. I should probably try this myself  any pics of what your talking about. Thanks.  Could you also tell me what the stock jet size are and what I'd need to go up to to run the i I pods. Thanks

Okay just found them on the carbs must have over looked them yesterday. I can be a little numb at times
