With the sun shining today, I decide to get the FJ out for it's firstride of the year.

After sitting since Dec 24th, with fuel stabiliser and super unleaded in the tank, I expected it to start easily and run beautifully - but guess what, I was slightly wrong !!

It fired up quickly, but wouldn't run properly on choke and then ran roughly at low throttle/revs without the choke when warm. Not a disaster, it still ran smoothly and accelerated and cruised well, it just popped and farted a bit at low speed. So it looks like the carbs are coming off again for a thorough cleaning and another check-over of everything.

Anyway, as the bike was running nice everywhere except very small throttle openings I decide to give it a run out and "clear it's throat".

Ended up doing 165 miles, using just over 3/4 of a tank of fuel and I got yet another reminder of why I love this bike.

I thought I'd take some photo's of the bike and the obligatory lovely scenery, but realised when I tried that I live in the Midlands - no hills, valleys, forests and nothing in the way of mountain passes or beautiful lakes  :dash2: - so I ended up with these !
