Well got the shock with a 17kg spring fitted. Hardened chrome shaft and re valved to suit. So fitting it up and I looked at the dog bones and I thought they look long. So found some old 88 bones and they are 15mm shorter than 91 on bikes that run 125mm bones. So for fun fitted the 88 bones. On the centre stand the rear wheel is just free of the ground. Need to take the bike for a run and test preload and dampering, http://radmotorcycleshockyrepairs.com.au/index.html

Very nice mate.

I must check the shock and dog bones on Effie as she sits pretty high, the rear wheel just scrapes around on centre stand. I do like the 'turn-in' feel of the higher rear end (there's a pun in that I'm sure).

Quick bit of work as well.  :good2:

Bit more suspension setting up today. Made up a set of dog bones at 115mm as I felt the 110mm ones where a touch short. Bike sits nice now and with the preload set to 1 suspension sag is pretty much spot on for rider only. This is great as it will give me room to play with to set it up for 2 up and luggage.
