Stick a fork in me--I'm done

Perusing several national used motorcycle sites I noticed a more than usual number FJ's for sale. Part of this is because of the time of year. Several were very low mileage in great shape but had been sitting for years. Most of these were reasonably priced but would require more time and money to make them rideable. Tires, battery, chain, sprockets, carbs, etc. Just what several of our members here on the forum are dealing with now. I am glad to see these bikes being brought back to life. What I don't see are many still on the road.

Being an FJ addict I noticed a low mileage 93 for sale in south Texas for a very reasonable price. I already have three--two of which run very well. Talking to the seller found out it was a low mileage bike that had sat for years. He is a member here and also has an 87 that looks like it came off the showroom floor. He and I went for a ride on some very nice Texas hill country roads. He sent the carbs to RPM and then replaced many parts with OEM so the bike looks like new. New Avon spirit tires. New footpegs, handgrips, levers, fork seals----way to many things to list. So all the work was done and with OEM parts. It was too good a deal to pass up. So I bought it.

OK stick a fork in me--I'm done buying FJ's. Yeah right.

A pistol is like a parachute, if you need one and don't have one you will never need one again.

Is that the '93 with the SuperTrapp internal disc exhaust that looks nearly showroom New?

Fred
Yup. Super trap exhaust system looks new. Can't get them any more. PO gave me the original exhaust which looks new also.

That FJ was the second purchase choice for The General and his American Rallys adventure.

This one came out of Boerne, TX. If it's the same one he missed a beauty. This thing looks like it just came out of the dealer.

Is it the end of the month already? must be, Dave's bought another FJ.

Sounds like a beauty Dave, my favourite model too, a mint '93 is the only FJ I would want. Pictures, we want pictures.

Well done on the purchase (again!)
