Kick off to the 2018 riding season

I sponsor a RTE (Ride to Eat) every spring. Typically the last weekend of April or the first weekend of May. For those that are not familiar with what a RTE is. A destination eatery is picked and then posted to various websites. Riders come from wherever to attend. It is kind of like a one day rally.

I hold this at a restaurant called Eskimo Joe's in Stillwater, Oklahoma. It is a local institution within a stone's throw of the Oklahoma State University campus. We have had as many as 13 bikes show up and as few as 2 (Last year during heavy rains). We had 7 bike this year with 8 people. This is a Sport-Touring emphasis. Dominated by Yamaha this year. 2 FJ-09's, 1 FJR1300, 1 FZ1 and 1 FJ1200. Rounding out the bunch was a BMW R1200?? and a Triumph Tiger ADV. Of note, the FZ1 is owned by a 60 year old woman who purchased it new in 2001. Current mileage is 264,000 miles.
