Greetings all - Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to each and every one of you!

My wife (Ninja 250) and I were able to ride a couple days ago, it was nearly 70 here in the midwest - loved it!

I noticed my FJ is vibrating a lot more than normal, and I think it's why I've had some plastic crack and possibly killed my battery.

So I guess the time is here to do something about the mounts. And maybe get going on the other tasks I was to get done.

I've left my last job and have a window of maybe 60 days. Hopefully it works out.

Wishing you the best,

Steve

Please see attached, I may have found the starter drive for the motor I want to try out -
Does this look complete?

Steve, not sure about the internal bits but the starter in the image is the older 2 brush style. Consider getting the improved 4 brush for better hot starts.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

'89 Stormy Blue - Suits my Dark Side

without full disassembly, there is no way of know if it is complete.

Busted the FJ out two days in a row, loving this weather!

Yesterday it just seemed a little flat - then I noticed the chock partially on and oh yeah!

Awesome machines

That's an obvious sign of jealousy due to all the attention to the other FJ heart you are caressing. :pardon:

You could be correct, absolutely correct.

I was going through some boxes and found what I think was the plug for the alternator - Vented?

And also found a stock ignition.

I dropped my block off to me milled. It seems the sleeve(s) slipped.

The machine shop is supposed to check them and make it flush.

$100 seems fair

Now to search for cylinder wall clearance recommendations - I'm all ears.

Block's back and it sure looks better.
I'll do a final hone and call it good.

Excellent, just about there. Do you still plan on re-using the old rings?

Yes, they appear as new.

If I have any issues upon final inspection, they'll be replaced, but so far, so good.
