Hello everyone.

Just purchased my FJ1200 today.

1990 3CV model.

Looking at changing a few things to bring it up to date. However, it is in need of a deep clean.

Picture is from the AD.

Nice catch.  :good2:  I see it's already got steel braided front brake lines and the blue dot caliper conversion.  Are those mirrors aftermarket?

Check out RPM for any goodies you'll need that you can't find there.  Keep us up to date on what you find out about it, once you start your refurbishing.

You'll find an overwhelming amount of people and info here to help.

We need an FJOwners foreign exchange program... I'd love to go abroad and ride, and would happily host someone to stay here and ride with us.

Great looking bike, and awesome username, welcome aboard!

Welcome fellow English chap. Indeed you have picked a beauty, except for those fugly mirrors, which oddly enough, are the same hideous brand as the Fj I've bought myself in England. I'm planning on taking it to the TT in May/June.
Where in the UK are you?

Yeah, I am glad she as the blue dots already. Not sure about the mirrors being aftermarket or not. Can only see shoulders though haha.
I have been looking through RPM, thinking of doing the spin on oil filter conversion for ease of service.

Yeah the mirrors are strange! I live in Leeds, Yorkshire. Where about's are you?Would love to do the TT sometime in the future.

Trying to decide on a list of what I want to do and in what order.

Needs a service first. Then Renntec rack and bits to help with rallies etc.
Rear wheel definitely needs changing at some point. (may wait till winter)
Not sure what to do with front? change wheel (to aid with tyre choice) or full fork swap.

Exhaust is looking worn, not sure whether to restore or get a full Delkevic system. Anybody got any experience of these?

It will be a slow project! but, it should be worth it.

Definitely impressed so far, much better than previous bikes,
