Hi EfeJota,

So it is all right to change the calipers and keep the abs?? Well done man!
How about the rotors? I have a similar mod to perform as my bike has abs and I would like to keep it, however I was told the OEM rotors are the only ones usable to make it possible. Can you share some more?

Stachstach, I moved your question out of the Files Section and put it here.

You have to use the oem FJ front wheel with the ABS sensor to keep the ABS system active, and thus, you have to use the  proper rotors that fit the FJ ABS front rim.

However, you do not have to use Yamaha rotors. (they are unavailable from Yamaha anyway)
A quick search on eBay will show several aftermarket Ashai wave style rotors that will fit the '93-'95 FJ1200 ABS front rim.

For example: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Front-Brake-Discs-Rotors-Set-For-Yamaha-FJ-1200-ABS-1991-1992-1993-1994-1996/253445473521?fits=Year%3A1993%7CModel%3AFJ1200A&hash=item3b028704f1:g:8KcAAOSwUiJaj4Me

You want these type of rotors to fit your ABS front rim:

You do not want these rotors:

See the difference in the diameter of the hub?
