Hey there, I've been riding for over 20 years with the majority of the bikes being Yamaha,  just bought a '91 in January of 2017. Wow. I've been missing out. What an absolutely fantastic motorcycle. Had a great season last year even with all the rain and can't wait for a longer riding season this year...already put 500km on in February this year - that's right, February in Canada lol.

Had to do a little cleaning up, ordered a fibreglass belly pan from Idaho off eBay, and had the pipes done with a ceramic black bake, and took it in for a wrap to get rid of the terrible yellow the previous owner had done to it, had them wrap the windshield while they were at it too.  Added a Givi E460 top box(not in pics)  It's turned out pretty well I think

Welcome Adam. I typically go through Barrie at some point every few months; more often in riding season on my way to Muskoka or Haliburton. I'm about an hour south west.
An FJ that is all yellow looks OK, but that paint scheme is like something for a personal watercraft. In fact you can look up images of Yamaha Waverunners that are yellow and white, minus that blue highlight.  Good idea to have it changed before you wound up in the bay.

No way I'm riding until  a few thorough April rains wash the crud off the roads and drivers are used to sharing the road with motorcycles again, but maybe we'll be in touch later in the Spring.

Nicely done with the graphics. Definitely better than the yellow trim.  :good2:

Adam,

Excellent work bringing back the '91...she's a beauty!

I've ridden in an around your neck of the woods quite a bit and will be back in the area first week of July.  Maybe I'll see you on the road!

Adam, you need to meet CanDman (http://www.fjowners.com/index.php?action=profile;u=1652) - he's in Ontario.  Seriously good dude - just don't try to keep up with him on the tequila!

Well done Adam! Let us know how the durability of the wrap works out as your bike gets some mileage, wind and sun exposure.
Kudos for your color choice....soooo much better!

Welcome laddie!
