GIVI luggage addition

I had a set of Hepco & Becker luggage on my '89 for a few years. I missed the convenience of having that on my current FJ. A fellow FJ owner in England had a spare GIVI Wingrack and bags available. Shipping across the pond was reasonable, so I pulled the trigger and amazingly, 3 days later they arrived. A Wingrack2, a pair of E36 side cases, an E50 Maxia, a fin style wind screen, and a black Bagster tank bra. I am thinking of painting the lid of the top box the light brown to match the bike and replace the red stripe on the side cases with a teal stripe.

**for some reason, I kept getting a "file too large" message when trying to upload the photos of the bike. The solution was to upload them from my phone to Sport-Touring.net, then move them here**....  :pardon: :pardon:

Givi is great is it not Fred?
I've had much use out of mine.
As you know, mine are just plastic, but remember the guy with the painted lids at last years Ouray rally? His set up looked really nice.

I am actually contemplating putting the saddle bags up for sale and getting a new set of Kappa K40 saddle bags.

The top box lid was a bit weathered and looked bad. Painted looks much better. The red stripe will be replaced along with the GIVI badges

Looks superb as usual Fred  :good2:   I really have to give my Givis a makeover, they are looking a little weathered and sad.

I like the Kappa K40's that you have. I have thought about putting the E36's up for sale and getting the Kappa set.

I used those horns on a Magna I had last year.  Do you have them on both port and starboard?  I think it is a good look.

Admore makes a light set for my E50 top box. https://admorelighting.com/product/e50-top-case-led-kit-ts/

I decided to make my own light kit. I used 8 six inch long LED strips. Each Red lens has 4 channels, perfect for the light strips. The box also came with two single LED spot lights mounted in the bottom section.

The light on in the photo are the tail lights. There is a strip above and below, plus the 2 spots that are the brake lights. The upper strip also has amber LEDs for turn signals.

They definitely look much better than the factory Red trim installed on the FJ.
