Am having a problem with the Throttle return..or not returning/springing back as it should. With having none to minimal mechanical experience, what's the fix?

Is the attached pic likely to be the culprit?  Hope photo attaches..
How/ where to go to fix..and any insight on cost..dare i ask how rare this part is likely to be
Need this and new tyre before Mapleton..

Cheers

That certainly is a problem even if it not causing your current issue. Mine broke at the throttle. It still worked but I replaced it anyway. A stuck open throttle can be very bad.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

Andrew, have you tried holding the broken part upright to see if it still sticks. Either way you still need new throttle cables, I don't know if you can get them singular or as a pair. I assume their still available from Yamaha, if not Randy should have them.

Actually, I remember at my shed day Harvy bringing a few parts with him and I'm sure he had new throttle cables amongst it. If Yamaha don't have any it might pay to contact him and see if he's still got them and willing to sell them.

Too young to be old but old enough to know better.

My gut feeling is that what is pictured, is exactly your throttle return issue. RPM does stock the throttle cables that you need. They come as a pair, and I would highly recommend replacing both cables.
