:shok: I have officially replaced my '89 FJ1300 with a 1995 FJ1200 Grey Import.  :yahoo: I will be flying into Salt Lake City Tuesday morning. There will be some maintenance performed on the bike by me. Chain/Sprocket change, new fork seals installed and remove the Kmh speedo and replace with a Mph speedo. Kurt (yamaha_fj_rider) and I will be departing Salt Lake City very early Wednesday morning and riding 1334 miles to Spring Green Wisconsin for the 2017 Central FJ Rally. This will also be an official Iron Butt Association ride. We will definitely get the Saddle Sore 1000. Depending on how we feel and how we stand on time when we get into Wisconsin, we may extend the ride and attempt To accomplish a Bun Burner Gold 1500.

Is there anyone that is attending the Central FJ Rally arriving Wednesday evening who would care to be our end of ride witness?

Since my new helmet and Sena 10s was also stolen. I have replaced it with a new Bell Qualifier DLX MIPS.

The MIPS explained....https://youtu.be/6A-rXBGJVhA

Very cool Fred.
Get you a set of RPM bar risers and Vibranators and be sure to service those front engine bushings!

Take lots of pictures. You have a unique FJ in the USA.

Well deserved!

If you look closely at the photo, it already has the LSL bar conversion. The bushings were serviced about 2 years ago. I will be putting the Buell pegs on for the trip. The bike also has the RPM fork valves and Race Tech springs installed, The ABS still works and the Spin-on oil filter adaptor has been installed.

Yea, I noticed the bar conversion. I used Vibranators in my LSL fat bar (w/non threaded ends) and it helped a bunch.

Pat, I thought you had a rubber mount FJ. There's no vibration to dampen.

I had the LSL bar on my '84 (with the FZR USD's)

True, the 4th gen FJ's are smoother, no doubt about it, however I found the RPM Vibranators also worked well on my previous '92 (now Paul Lawson's)
