G'day, Alf and I have decided to have another Manshed Weekend. The dates are the 8th, 9th and 10th of December 2017. Between us, we have beds for 6, plenty of room for swags and tents. First in best dressed for the beds. Plenty of other accommodation is available in town, Bermagui Motor Inn is probably the pick of them.
Any suggestions as to any improvements on last years effort would be appreciated. (within reason)
   Regards, Pete.   :drinks:

G'day Alan, hope you can make it also. We spent some time working out a suitable date for it. We have a ride planned for Tassie mid November so need a week or two after that trip to get organised. That weekend is a week before the Xmas school holidays start, so hopefully that might encourage some extra attendees before the Xmas madness starts. If your bike will be due for some regular maintenance (valve clearances etc) save it up for your visit to the south coast. We may even find time for a scenic ride and a beer or two. :drinks:
  Regards, Pete.

Sounds great Pete, I'm in.

Alf and Mrs Alf were great hosts last year, generous with their hospitality and catering and hats off to Mrs Alf for enduring such a blokey weekend solo (or maybe she was just keeping an eye on her house)

As for improvements, none really spring to mind, it was a great weekend. Maybe a Kangaroo sign at the end of your street would have been good and make sure it's not too hot.
The Saturday ride was a cracker and kept everyone off the booze until late afternoon.

Last years Bermagui Manshed weekend was a highlight on the riding calender for me, great ride there, great company, plenty of laughs and a great part of the world, why would anyone not go?

G'day Dickie, how have you been? Haven't heard from you in a while, too busy doing the kitchen reno I suppose.
Mate, I don't know what we'll do without you to open the stubbies and drink all the beer. Hope you can find a way to get here but I do know that you have a busy period ahead. Maybe some of your fellow Queenslanders may show some getup and go and turn up.
Noel has already stuck his hand up and is keen to attend, which is great. I know it's still a fair way off but early notice should give people time to get their shit together and commit. I'll give you a call tomorrow arvo from Alf's place , it's his turn for Thirstday Drinks.
Talk to you then.   :drinks:

Thanks Ray, you just spoiled my night. I haven't done my shims for years, I hate doing shims (and pods). Last time I just measured them all, removed the cams, bagged them up and sent them off to a machinist to grind them exactly to max clearance.

I figure if the compressions sound even when cranking, I'm good.

Ray, you might be able to fool everyone else but you're checking the long range forecast and roadworks status aren't you. Wondering if it's possible to get there and back without getting your bike dirty.

No problems with that Noel, you should know I carry a roadside cleaning kit with me at all times,  :good2:
