I know we have a few knowledgeable researchers here that keep up to date with such things, so, what is the current consensus on the best chain? I would happily go with the EK ZZZ again but they appear not to make it anymore.

Hey, here's the link for catalogs if you wish to explore.

I am using DID ZVMX. It was the strongest I could get here. I think someone mentioned to use RK GXW which are pretty cheaper than DID ZVMX, at least here. RK also has some new products that could be compatible.

I've been using the DID ZVM-x for years and I love it.

The ZZZ has a slightly higher tensile strength than the DID ZVM-x (11,000 vs 10,408) but the DID has a much higher wear index (4,000 vs 1,700)

If EK chains are your favorite flavor and the ZZZ is no longer available, the EK 530ZVX2 looks mighty tasty.

Interesting Pat. Tensile is the chain's resistance to breaking under high load. Wear is the main killer of chains. Most chains that break have been worn down to a weaker condition (the pins in the chain get smaller).  A good point to consider when purchasing a chain.

I use did vzm-x they don't seem to stretch. Even with the 1350 hauling my 268lbs around. Adjusted It once and seems to be good. I lube it often. I'm not really sure how many miles I have on them. But check quite often and still are solid no stretch.
