Fuel pump went belly up!!

While out for a ride with my neighbor today. I introduced him to the monthly Cassoday, Kansas Bike Run. On the way home, the bike started to sputter and finally died.    While trying to figure out why it would not fire up, I noticed that I did not hear any clicking from the fuel pump. Thanks to Cap'n Ron's Epic 17,000 mile ride and his comments about when his fuel pump died. I remembered that it can be easily bypassed and the bike will ride just fine by keeping close to most posted speed limits. I am sure that the bypass can be done without removing the fuel tank. I didn't feel like messing with squeezing my hands into a tight space with a hot engine. I removed the  fuel tank and the UNI pods. Swapped the fuel lines and put everything back together. The bike fired right up and gave no problems over the 40 miles or so to get back home. A big thank you to all of the members that post such helpful maintenance information.

Yep, a plastic pinch clamp (umbilical clamp) and a male/male fitting can be kept in the side cubby.
Leave the tank on, pull the seat and right side cover, clamp, disconnect the lines at fuel pump, fit them together, unclamp and you're good to go....

Note to self: Never again buy the cheap Chinese eBay fuel pumps.
