17 inch rims

i have a fj1100
i am looking at some 17 inch rims and brakes with gold pots from a yamaha on the front rim it has the numbers 17xMT 3.05
are these the best rims to get and easy to fit.
i dont have the rear rim size.
any help would be appreciated.

I have a 1989 FJ1200 17" front with a set of nice rotors needs a tire but I may have a new one for it

You may be able to install a 89 FJ rim only on the older bikes, I can't see why not?.  But, you won't be able to use those 4 piston caliper on the stock forks.  You would have to use your old calipers and disc.  Also, the 89 rotors are to big for your bike.

You will need the later fork lowers as well.

The older discs have a different bolt pattern, and will not go on the '89 front wheel.

Then you can use the '89 wheel, discs and calipers.

All this assuming the wheels, etc you found are actually from an FJ.
