I need the lower chin spoiler and a windshield for my 1990 fj1200. I am in Illinois so if I can find one in the USA would be better (easier shipping)

You should check with Earl on this site he has a ton of parts for sale

Kellywest

I have sent him a message but he is in Canada don't know if shipping will be a huge obstacle or not

Thanks, I've seen that but for another $50. I could get a gimble that would connect to the bottom of the main fairing. I am considering going that route and cutting it to help get more air to the motor. I've seen a couple done that way on this site that I like. Decisions, decisions

I don't understand what you mean...what is a gimble?

Yes, thanks Fred that's what I was referring to.

The lower is not required for proper air flow. The FJ has no fan to flow air while sitting still so keeping her moving will be enough. But it also is not going to hurt it. It will keep some heat off your legs in stop and go traffic and provide the fully covered look. It also makes adding case protection a challenge. In my opinion the case protection is more important for getting home after an unscheduled dismount. But I also appreciate the full lower when done well.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.
