Hi, have been riding FJ the last 6 years and in that time made several upgrades to the FJ1200. I am from Denmark and an old man (56yo). Ride once a year to Norway and trips around here in Denmark. Changes are: XJR frontfork with wheel complete, braided brake lines, FZR 1000 rear wheel, FJR masters. Have my bike named "Smurf Rocket" (Smølfe Raketten) Just for the fun of it. Have full Give luggage set. Colourtheme is , off course, red, blue, white like the smurfs. The bike has now 120.000km on th clock but not mine alle of them

Welcome!

I wouldn't consider 56 to be old!  Especially not from the seat of an FJ!

Welcome Norwegian Smurf rider. Is that an XJR front fender?
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

Yes you are correct. I live in Jutland near Arhus, approx in the middle of Jutland :D Mat I suggest that you look at the Danish FJ site. www.fjklub.dk We have foreign members too. There you can find others who ride our FJ/ FJR and arrange tours and so on. Questions about bikes are welcome too for sure. Give it a try. For a membership it is 100 dkr per year. Sorry if this is inapropiate (spelling?) to write in this forum. But yes maybe we can meet somewhere during the summer :D

Sorry, yes it is the fender from a XJR. As written the whole front comes from the XJR1300
