Hello Everyone from Colorful Colorado!

Since this year's Central Rally is going to take place in August (8-11 thru 8-13 in Wisconsin), and since there was a bunch of interest floating around, I'll be organizing another Colorado Rally in Ouray!

Once again it will be held the week/weekend following the West Coast Rally.  The dates will be June 8th-11th.

I originally was not able to work this into my vacation schedule for this year, but I was able to shuffle a few things around, and squeeze a few extra days off after the WCR.
I will be attending BOTH the WCR and COLORADO Rallies back-to-back this year! (what an adventure THIS is going to be!) I'll be arriving in Ouray on Wednesday, June 7th.

We will be gathering at the same location we did this past year :

Ouray Riverside Inn and Cabins
http://ourayriversideinn.com/

This location has Both Cabins and Hotel Rooms. A couple different styles of Cabins are available. The deluxe cabins are fully furnished with kitchen, bathroom, and linens provided. (I stayed in the Black Bear Cabin last year) The Camper Cabins are less expensive, and you must provide your own bedding (or rent bedding from them for an extra fee).
A few people last year rented the Hotel Rooms. The cabins all have their own picnic tables, fire-rings or chimneys, and a charcoal grill. There is also water spigots next to the cabins.
The resort has (2) Centrally located Hot-tubs, and a community gas-grill to use. They also offered to fill our coolers with ice for free last year.

I spoke with the Owner of the Resort a few days ago. She said that right now, for that week, ALL of the Cabins and most of the Hotel rooms are available.
She remembered our group from last year.
She offered to give our group a 10% Discount on their rates for that week. She said she would make sure to let the employees behind the counter know.

Those that are interested in going, you can start booking your rooms/cabins NOW.............

You can book either of two ways:

Call 970) 325-4061 or (800) 432-4170 Make sure you mention that you are with the FJ Owners Motorcycle Group, and that the Owner is giving us a 10% discount on the rate.

OR

Book your reservation online through their website : https://reserve4.resnexus.com/resnexus/reservations/lodging/6989585D-FFE1-4F88-8568-0F781E4D949B
Inside the "Additional Information" box at the bottom of the checkout page, write that you are with the FJ Owners Motorcycle Group, and you will be given the 10% discount.

The dates for this Rally fall under their "Mid-Season" rates.

The Cabin rates are:

The Hotel Room rates are between $82 - $92 per night depending on which type of room you reserve.

Here is a Map of their property, so if you want to specify a certain cabin number, you'll know where it is.

So Here It Is!  Come to Ouray and enjoy the Spectacular San Juan Mountains!

There is a small Grocery Store in town, as well as a larger one just up the road in Ridgway
There is also a convenience store and fuel on the premises at the Resort, as well as in Ridgway (around 15-20 cents cheaper)

The Riding in this area is simply Amazing! The highways leading into this area also hold their own special beauty.

A great time was had by all in 2016!

So, watch my Highlight Reel from 2016-------> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zh2lqfz-oG0
And come join us in 2017!

Please add your name to this "Head Count" thread http://www.fjowners.com/index.php?topic=16268.30 and status yourself as either Confirmed or Maybe.

See you all there..................

There you go Al, all it took was a bit o Fj rally magic and he's all over the project. Nice work, as always. Now just stretch that vacation a bit more and suddenly the 2017 Renegade Rally looks like a done deal too.
Yay!

The view from that jeep track in Teluride is a winner. Looks like a friendly hike for those without 4WD. Anyone have an idea how far it was from the road's end?

It's probably a couple mile hike up to the PowerHouse/Waterfall.

I just made a reservation for a Camping Cabin.  I'll be alone so if anyone wants to share, there are two twin beds available.  Non-smoker and AFAIK, I don't snore.

Edit: Is everyone leaving on Sunday the 11th, or Monday the 12th?
