Merry Christmas to all, I hope everybody has a safe enjoyable day whether your stuck indoors snowbound or outdoors enjoying a BBQ in the heat. It'll be a fine 29deg C day here so a big cool lunch is on the cards along with several beers.

Christmas arrived 7 mins ago. Merry Christmas everyone.

I have been informed by my wife and daughter that we are breaking tradition and having a picnic in the country with our horses for Christmas dinner. My wife suggested I might like to ride out. 36C, she's got to be kidding, A/C in the car all the way for me in that heat, riding can wait.

Christmas is many things to many people but for most it is about getting together with loved ones. For the first time in 25 years one of our children can't be home and my wife is not happy. But, he is happy and healthy, just working at the other end of the country, not an unusual circumstance and he will be home shortly after, so spare a thought for members we have lost this year and whose families will be spending their first Christmas without them.

Have a great one guys and I look forward to an exciting 2017 with much riding.
