I have the dreaded rocker cover leak caused by two non standard bolts  :dash1:
Anyone out there got a couple (need two) standard FJ1100/ 1200 bolts
Thanks   :good2:

Probably want to contact Randy, he builds motors so he probably has some spares. You will probably want to change the grommets on the two used ones you are getting at minimum anyways as who knows how old they will be.

Johno

I am sure Randy would have them. Having said that I am not going to ask him as the freight is worth more than the bolts. I already have the appropriate rubber washers brought off Randy a few years back.
So anyone in Australia have these two bolts or any leads ? (for Australia)

You might try reaching out to Victor Drummond. The has some inventory left he is selling off.

G'day,

I am pretty sure the rocker cover nuts are just plain 10mm dome nuts.  Your average auto store should have heaps of those.  Might be quicker than ordering online.

Just a thought.

Thanks Randy have all ready emailed Victor waiting for reply
Also have tried to contact Harvey at Petes suggestion KTMDude
Mr Blackstock  FYI The bolts are a special design. Cupped head to retain rubber seal and stepped so cant be overtightened.

You're right.  My bad.  I should know because all my rubber grommets are nice and hard.  Helps get that "pop" sound when I loosen all the bolts.

cheers, Gareth

You'd really need someone who's scrapped a motor to have those spare and I don't imagine there are a lot of those around, but you might get lucky.

What about a washer and collar on a standard bolt? Use an existing bolt as a guide for the length of the collar.
