Hi
Just joined this forum to find some info on fj 1200 as an opportunity has cropped up that is too good to refuse. The one I'm looking at is a black 88 model and from the pics the bloke has sent me it looks half decent. This will be added to my shed that already has a gsx 250 83, gsxr750 89, gpz550 82.

Welcome aboard. You have some nice bikes in your shed. There are a ton of great guys here willing to help at any time.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I haven't bought it yet so my input may be short lived however I'm getting a good feeling about the bike. Btw I'm currently living down near Australian alpine region( I can hear those Canadians and kiwis laughing now) just south of Canberra. The weather is finally starting to warm up.

Welcome Davo, any questions you got about the FJ just ask, there's a wealth of knowledge here.

Too young to be old but old enough to know better.

Davo..... we had our annual rally down at Jindabyne 3 years ago, so many here know your region pretty well.

Welcome to the site mate.

PS your black '88 is actually midnight blue.

FJZ1 1200 - It'll do me just fine.
Timing has much to do with the success of a rain dance.

Hi Harvey
Thanks for heads up on actual colour. Will you be heading down to VJMC rally in March at Tamworth? If I buy it it may make an appearance there.

krusty

Welcome. My first FJ was just like the one you described. I sold it a bloke from the  ACT region in 2006. I wonder if it's the same one? I may be at the VJMC rally, don't know for sure yet.

I'm going to have a look on Thursday. The bloke owned it whilst he commuted from Canberra to Cooma until he moved down here. Hopefully I'll get some decent pics and post them up

Depends on the date Davo...... we have the Aussie FJ rally in March in Toowoomba this year so there may be a timing conflict.

Cheers

Vjmc is on first weekend in March. When's the fj Toowoomba rally?

Welcome to the forum  :hi:

There are some great and wonderful FJ owners that attend the FJ rallys. Put it on you schedule as something not to miss.
