I see we have three "Hero members". This forum has become the source for everything FJ. I check the Yahoo site on occasion and see that it has been slow enough for people to post regarding the "cheapest headlight" that can be found...

The stat section at the bottom of the home page shows just how popular this sight has become.

Thank you Marsh for creating a great forum that has a great range between personal camaraderie and technical content. Thank you to all of the members that contribute and make it a place I check in every day that I can.

Heck, everyone deserves a thumbs up. :good:

Brother Randy,

we appreciate all you do around here.... :good2:

IMO a successful forum is a network of usefull information shared equally between like minded individuals who also happen to have internet access.

that's right... we rock! (and we got a GUN SECTION!  :good2:)

Kookaloo!

the fan

hero member ?

Marsh did a very good thing for us and I hope he appreciates how much we appreciate him...Or I'll keel him.

(sorry almost got all sissy sappy there)

But back on topic, whats a Hero Member -shut up K- did I miss something

It is currently bestowed on the three members, including Marsh, that have posted 500+ times. I presume that is the reason...we will have to wait & see what comes at 750 & 1000 posts.

It is a little moniker based on your post count.  This is the way it is setup now:

Newbie: 0-14 posts
Jr. Member: 15-79 posts
Full Member: 80-199 posts
Sr. Member: 200-499 posts
Hero Member: 500+ posts

That's all I have setup.  Maybe 1000+ posts should be: "I need to get out more and get laid"...

"I need to get outta here and get laid" is reserved for those that still post up on Yahoo!

Yes you can Travis...... but editing of the post is only available for a short period of time......maybe about 5 mins or so.

I'll try mate......

SO i'm posting this and I've made a mistake......but i'm now posting with the mistake........

I now go to the post and I see in the top rh corner next to the "reply with quote" a botton that says modify.

This allows me to change my original post or add new stuff like I've done with these last 2 lines of text.

Click save.

AND again:

But you only see the Modify button in the actual post view, not in the "Most Recent Posts" view.

Hope that makes sense.

I found this site and the Yahoo site at the same time. I never posted on Yahoo, and am fine with the fact that their digests are shuttled off to my spam folder automatically! Thanks Marsh and you diligent posters for creating such a great spot to meet. Being as I am deficient in the ways of computer technology, I am amazed at how smoothly this site works and it's many useful features. Growing my memberness +1,
Doug

Is there a way to set it up to make someone a "ZERO member" if their first post is an FJ for sale... :diablo:

"Tiny Member" would be a better laugh ;)
