oil site glass

Hey yall im changing my clutch crankcase cover so I need to install the new oil site glass into the cover as well, before I get started I was wondering if there's a special method I should go through to press it into place, first should I put a little oil around the rubber seal to make it slippery, and or I read somewhere not on here you can freeze the site glass to make it shrink a little bit.

Freezing won't help (glass doesn't shrink much.)  Just oil it up and push...
