I've read the igniters vacuum being connected doesn't really have much change in the engine performance, I've got another dyno pull tomorrow, so after tinkering I decided to plug #2 intake vacuum port and head out to dinner with wife, let me tell you it has a considerable effect on performance, I had piping threw my intakes just off idle and it was totally lask luster on hard excelleration.after 5 miles of us riding i found the first oull off the road and teconnected the vacuum, and took off.a few min later wife asked me babe what did you do its alot better.

That is supposed to be for emissions to help burn off fuel during some throttle events. If you plugged the port at the carb intake it should not have any effect on normal riding. If you plugged the hose then you had a vacuum leak.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

I plugged my intake port.zip tied the hose and plugged it also.ran like crap unhooked, reconnected all was better, the ignier advances the timing more then stated on this forum.

I'm gonna hook my vaccum pump to the igniter port tomorrow, pull vacuum on it,if I'm correct the bike should idle up at idle hints its advancing timing.if it idles down and stumbles its retarding timing,of course I'll plug the intake oort

Mines unhooked and runs fine. I had high idle concerns because mine had failed.

I still have mine connected and working.
