I would like to put the bike up on a dyno before the end of the summer. I have noticed lately, that a few times under hard acceleration that the clutch slips a bit. Even with the Barnett heavy duty clutch springs. While installing a fresh set of fiber plates including the removal of the inner narrow fiber disc and replacing it with a full size fiber disc. I also installed the RPM shift detent kit.

HI sounds like some good parts in there.
that should work great.
just a thought are you sure the master cyclinder
for the clutch is compleatly releasing ?
I had this same problem with my fj1200 and that is
what was going on with it fixed that and all was good.
good luck

Fred, what sort of oil do you run?

I am currently using 10w40 dino oil. With my 1100 mile iron butt ride, that put about 2000 miles since the last oil change. I was down about 1/4 of a quart. I topped it off with some full synthetic.

Since the addition of the RPM shift kit and the wider inner fiber disc. I have noticed a big change in the shifting. The neutral to 1st clunk has smoothed out immensely. The clutch level pull has not gotten noticeably harder. The clutch engagement point did change, the engagement point is further out.
