Broken choke cable

I thought I would check the bike last night before my ride today. It was hard to start like the choke did not work. So this morning before my meet up time I pulled the tank and side covers and the damn choke moved but did not work at the carbs. It failed internally, that old piece of crap, how dare it fail!!! With my #40 pilots and this warm SoCal weather it don't need much choke time to warm the lady up, so I MacGuyverd a quick fix with some steel wire and off I go. I am hoping this post might help others with little time and a busted choke cable. As you were now, back to your normal browsing...

Haha! That looks familiar. :)

Had the exact same problem with my choke last month, disassembled it, tried to fix it with a bike cable but it just wasn't worth the effort. So this happened. Added a short bit of fuel line.. much cooler here in Maine so I have to hold it for a minute.
