I've noticed lately that the number of my posts keeps dropping I was up to 960 something. Then it dropped off to 917ish. So I started watching. And it just dropped again. I don't post that often.
So it doesn't really matter. Just wondering why.
Do they come off after a couple of years?

Moderators have been deleting stale posts lately, I bet that's got something to do with it.

Dan,

John hit it on the head. We have been cleaning up the sale pages. It was brought to my attention almost immediately after the acquisition of the forum that was something that should be done.

So, we have been going through those pages and deleting old and/or sold posts.

Weird that I created a lengthy new thread first post in Ride Reports last night and when I hit submit, the window closed as normal but the post didn't show up, as in gone into vapor.
If someone wants to see any images I refer to in posts, first check my gallery here. If no bueno, send me a PM. More than glad to share.

I've had that happen several times on my IPad but never on my pc or IPhone.
I've gotten in the habit of copying the text before I hit the submit button. That way I an easily paste the lost text into a new submittal.
Strange that it only happens on my IPad.

I also get a message that I've already posted... But the post never shows up

I often get a similar message, that the last post from my IP was five seconds ago, but no post ever shows up.

When I get that 5 second notice I click back, copy, and re-post from a new a new page. It is annoying but not frequent.

Only short posts do I type directly into the box.   Other posts I type up in notes on my phone or in word on a computer.   I have lost more posts than I care to remember before starting to do this.
