Just put my carbs back on. Thanks Rob for the rebuild. Installed New throttle cables. 84 fj. While on a test ride, at a stop light, the bike would idle up to 2000 rpm. Not every time I stopped. I'd say half. Next light, perfect 1000 rpm range. Any ideas? Readjust cables? FJ Monkey. Need help. Lol

Make sure you have a little slack in the cables via the adjustment points. Two at the carbs & one on the pull cable.

If there is sot a little slack they like to hang.

Thanks randy, from me also, after twenty minute freeway ride, came to light and idle stayed at two grand for a while. I'm sure it's the throttle cable tension, cause I re,ember taking the slack out after  working on carbs.
