Well, I can't object. That is the motorcycle that got my imagination running before I even took my beginner course. My idea of what a motorcycle should look like and sound like.
Of course I couldn't afford one, still can't.
If someone wants to see any images I refer to in posts, first check my gallery here. If no bueno, send me a PM. More than glad to share.

This is hilarious... Aren't you the guy that bought my FJ1100 on Craigslist in Country Club Hills, IL a few years ago?

You're just getting rid of the FJ and I happened to login yesterday to post about a new one I'm buying because it was too good a deal to pass up... what are the frickin' odds?

I'm not sure if you're the guy, but I know he lived somewhere in northern IL.  It was a red and silver FJ1100, I believe 1984, with a set of red cortech bags.  Was that you?  Your sig says you killed it.. what happened!?  You put so much love into it!

Now that is too funny! Yes, I'm the guy that bought your 84 then wrecked it on my last ride of the year. Missed a left curve in the country and sailed off into a corn field. When the bike went down it cracked the case where the shift fork runs through it. So rather than trying to fix it, I sold it as is (with full disclosure of course) the next year and picked up the 91. I still love the FJ, but I needed to modernize with liquid cooling, ABS, fuel injection, etc. Plus now I finally have that 6th gear I've been looking for all these years!

Sounds like ABS would've been helpful in that situation for you.  :good2:

Enjoy the Sprint. They've been on my radar too. There's some good buys on them, since their owners are now drinking the Adventure bike Kool-Aid, and unloading them.
