Funny tire wear

Howdy Folks
   Iam getting some tire wear that I have never seen before and wonder if one of you can shed some light. I was told that road crown is causing the wear but have read this is myth plus I don't see it on my other bikes.
   What I get is uneven chicken strips on the rear tire one on the right being about 3/8 narrower than the one on the left I don't get into much corners so that cant be it.. The bike is a 850 triple cafe.

That seems like a big difference. My RH strip was larger than my LH strip for some time after I low-sided on the right. Not much more than 1/8 inch. A true definition of why they are called that. I have better tire wear on the FJ when I run max on the front and max to near max on the rear. Its a heavy bike and I am not getting ant lighter....

edit-Improved suspension has greatly reduced my chicken strips due to not feeling like I am going any faster. RPM front and rear.

Two most likely causes are Rider input and alignment.

Rider Input:
Most of us are slightly more comfortable in turning one direction than the other. usually in countries where we drive on the right side of the road this is to the left as sight lines are generally clearer and the turns more open. road crowning definitely makes a difference in wear, but generally not out at the edges,. It is most noticeable on commuter bikes with the wear showing more pronounced to the left side of the tire center.

Alignment:
If for whatever reason the wheels are not aligned with each other The bike can turn more easily in one direction than the other, using less lean to make the same turn. This takes a fairly significant misalignment but It is possible. IIRC the yam 850 triples are shaft drive so a simply checking to see if the wheel is adjusted correctly is out. You can use the string method to see if te wheels are aligned and track down the issue. I have seen bent forks and frames/swingarms cause the bike to run out of true.

These aren't really helpful.  Most of us know what Chicken strips are, so posting picts of someone else's chicken strips isn't going to provide us the information we need to offer relevant help.   What we are asking to see are pictures of 'Your' actual tires.

Not trying to be an ass, just trying to get more relevant info so as to hopefully provide more useful information to you.

Errr, the link has pics of many tires in various conditions. Could you be more specific on the pic that you want us to see?

I never heard of them....   I first thought he was talking about "skid marks", until I saw the pics. I don't think you'll want to see pics of skid marks though...
