Its not concourse, just using good used parts with a new paint job.

I'm just not familiar with the process of getting it checked over & registered. Does it need a blue slip ?
For Historic reg in NSW no blue slip required. Inspection by club inspector or pink slip only.

the photos always flatter the bikes.
Its not a full on resto - just a genuine clean up using as many of the original parts as possible.
The paint job was the most expensive part. Anything missing was sourced used from the ebay or breakers either here or in Japan.
Still thinking of something..................

Still looks good. I like that green. Ive only just gotten my RD350 up and running after a conrod let go 4 years ago.
The smile on my face after every ride makes me regret not fixing it ages ago.  They are awesome little fellows.

Hi All

It has happened, I have Historic Vehicle Plates on my FJ.
It cost 94$ at the Registry , 43$ was for the issue of the plates so next year it should be only 51$.

Thank you all for your assistance and special thanks to Krusty for sending the documents required to obtain Registration and Signing off on them also.. :drinks:

I do have One question, what am I supposed to do with the Conditional Rego sticker label?
I Haven't used one of these in a few years!
Do I need to display it on bike or not?

   Well done Alan.  :good2: You must display the rego label on the rear of the bike. I have mine attached to the screw that holds the chain guard on. I know that's not the correct place but I have shortened the rear mudguard and have to mount it elsewhere. I have been told that the police number plate recognition system does not work on historic rego plates hence the need to display labels. Not sure if this is fact or not but sounds par for the course. Enjoy the cheap rego and insurance.

That's exactly where it used to live, wrapped in glad wrap and put in holder all I have to hope is I can find the old holder in the garage.

Yep, you still need the label displayed and "adjacent" to the plate. I bolt the label holder to the plate itself by drilling a hole in the middle of the lower edge so that things are symetrical. And, yes, it is because the Historic plates are not in the recognition system.
