Clutch basket

Installing my clutch today,things we're going smooth,pulled them out,as I began inspecting my basket,i noticed cracks.a section of the basket even looked like someone smacked it with a hammer,is these baskets known for this,

When abused they can grenade... Play it safe and get a new basket with less cracks...

edit... don't let it leave you far from home.....

That look a like something has hit it.no metal of any kind in the pan,the previous owner must have dogged the crap out of it.I got one on the way.

I'm doing the clutch mod with wide friction plates and adding a addional clutch spring do i need to reinstall this part,picture provided,I think its the spring housing.

+1 good call, that wire has been shown in some ugly chewed up pics. Replace the thin fiber for a thick one and get a tad more clutch....
