The other man with the white hair, with his arm around what appears to be a woman, I believe is Jay Leno.

We have a winner... His BMW is parked next to my FJ.... Very cool guy he took many pics when asked by many and I offered to be photographer. later when talking to his friend (not knowing he was his friend) the owner of Newcomb's ranch came out and chatted him up as well. Just good friendly people, exactly like he seems on TV... I have seen him many times and today I decided to shake his hand and get a pic. At least we have one cool guy in the pic... Sorry about the guy in red...

Jay does not seem have an aversion to his popularity. He gets out, is gracious with fans and seems exactly like he is on TV. A warm and open personality. I look forward to seeing him and shaking his hand any time I see him. He was comical when he took a pic with me, a really good guy in my opinion. I grew up with different Hollywood celebs so I tend to leave them alone, they all mostly want to be like the rest of us when in public. They are simply people like the rest of us. Jay takes it well and he seems to treated as well as he deserves. I look forward to his next project, if he has one, his garage is near by, maybe I can a pit pass....

You are most correct Mark. They are people first. Yes, they are in the spotlight, but they really, really appreciate being given a wide berth in public, especially when they have children with them.
We have tons celebs in the Desert this time of year. A friendly smile, nod is all we locals give these folks.
It's the out of town hillbillies that make a fuss.

I met Jay 8 years ago at the Barret Jackson auction in Scottsdale. I was lost in thought admiring a 1932 Cadillac, totally zoned out, staring at the engine, I didn't know Jay was standing right beside me... I heard a familiar voice say, "Pretty cool, huh? I have one of these, do you have any questions?"

Imagine my surprise.

He's a good guy. Very knowledgeable

Jay has always been a motorcycle guy with big collection. He is not a big Yamaha fan and he sold his VMax  at a charity event a few years ago. My first full size bike was a 1968 Yamaha Bonanza 180cc street twin. I was 15yrs old. It was candy apple red and chrome and would do 90mph down hill with the wind. What I always wanted was a Triumph Bonneville but could not afford one.  I bought my friends 1969 Honda CL350 thinking it would be an improvement. What a disappointment. Still wanted a Bonneville until Yamaha brought out the 1970 R5 350. Lots faster than a Bonneville. Bought the first one in the US and the Bonneville was forgotten. Here is Jay Leno's 1964 Bonneville.
