Hey there,

Would anyone know off the top of their head what the battery strap length is. I would check but I am at work and I was planning on going to the parts store to pick one up from here. The reason is that they have a box of straps without part numbers at a really low price.

Thanks,

Mark

Bones

Assuming all models are the same, overall length including metal rings is 120mm or 4 3/4 inches. 3xw model.

Too young to be old but old enough to know better.

I went out to check mine for you but my key would not open the seat. A closer look at the lock and I discovered some ass-----  had worked it over with a screwdriver or knife and broken it.  Why I don't know. Probably some kid. Now I have to figure out a way to get the seat off and fix it.  Any ideas? I might try forcing the levers.  Dave

Is the lock core badly mangled or is something stuck inside? If it just something stuck inside, tools exist to clear out key ways.

My dumb-ass smart phone is not connecting so I cannot post the pic I took. From the outside of the steel rings mine measures just over 4.5 inches. More like 4 and 5/8 inches. I assume all years are the same...

Lock is mangled and key goes in loosely. Haven't tried forcing the levers yet. Dave

Thanks very much for the information. Sorry to hear that you're having trouble with the seat lock.

Sounds like the lock core is badly damaged. You can drill it out to get your seat off. When you find a new/used lock core a locksmith can re-pin it to match your current key.

Sounds like a good plan. Thanks. Dave
