Many, if not most of the members here want to help,

Fewer all the time...    :pardon:

It took me 6 years and 3000 posts to get the message, you can't fight the status quo. I've mostly given up offering mechanical advice online, it just becomes fodder for the knockers. Noel
Don't stop offering mechanical advice Noel. The older I get the more I agree with you. Its the youngsters who didn't grow up working on all things mechanical who are clueless.  Dave

Noel:  Just remember that all those that don't "knock" your advice value it.  We need the experience you provide.  Thanks again.... :hi:

This thread makes about as much sense as recent US political debates. It's a complete waste of time yet I can't stop myself from watching...

Speaking of that, I find it fascinating that so many foreigners have such great interest and strong opinions about our political process.  Some even go so far as to think that should hold sway over the result.

This has baffled me for years also. The UK has the Guardian newspaper dedicated to US politics. I can't even tell you who the PM's  of the UK and OZ are or 99.9% of other US citizens.   Dave

The US is the largest economy in the world and arguably the only "super power" left. What happens in the US impacts the rest of the world. As far as Canada goes, the US is our largest trading partner so we are very interested in US politics and policies as they almost certainly directly affects us. I think that's really what it boils down to.

Now here's a man i can relate with.
There are few that I've seen thus far, and those of you who are already know.

Randy, I'm honored and humbled you dignified my offtopic post with a response.
As such, despite the generous parameters of the "General Discussion" forum, I will bide my tongue contently relaxed in my leopard tree.

The rest of you apes can shove it  :drinks:

Why don't you get out our your FJ's for a while and report back on the ride.

This my friends is the only thing we have in common.

Yes America is Canada's largest trading partner.  But conversely, Canada is also Americas largest trading partner.  We are joined at the hip for better or worse.  Kinda like The Honeymooners.

Yes we get a cold when America sneezes, but then we just slide down one of those polar vortexes and giggle.  :mocking:
