Cannot be unseen...

Being observant and having really good hearing can be a bad thing at times...

So after having lunch with a friend today, we were walking back to his truck and there was a newer white Kia sedan parked in front of him.  I happen to notice it's running and glance into the car to see if anyone is in it.  Sure enough I see someone sitting in the passengers seat.  Then I notice there are two people in the passengers seat, and see that they are quite hot and heavy into things.

Didn't really think much of it, other than it was somewhat odd since it was the middle of the day, in a parking lot with no shade, cover, privacy, etc.  But hey..whatever..

Jump in the truck, turn around to get the seat belt, turn my head back around while not thinking and looked through the windshield into the car that was parked in front of us...

Suddenly realize it's two dudes in the car getting it on... :bad: :bad: :bad: :bad: :bad: :bad:

Or simply stating he'd prefer having the choice of whether to watch or not - as opposed to having it presented as a public display in an inappropriate manner.

Agree, I was commenting on his last two lines. A statement about inappropriate manners, didn't need those two lines..

In a community the size of FJowners, statistics tells us that some will be gay, some will be black, some will be handicapped, etc, etc..  In fact, it is probably a minority that is "normal" (whatever that is...)

I hope there is room for everybody  :flag_of_truce:

I still don't see how that makes Mr Bean homophobic -- what did he do to impede their civil rights or civil liberties?

Zwartie

I don't think that being homophobic requires one to impede civil rights or liberties. That being said, I likely would have been surprised as well as I would have initially assumed it was a guy and a girl. It happened to be two consenting adults - so be it. My sister has been out of the closet for 15 years and prior to that she had been married for 11 years. She is the happiest, best version of herself that she's ever been and has an amazing partner. I couldn't be more happy for them.

That's all I have to say about that.

Even if someone were to be "Homophobic", why is that a bad thing?
It is a matter of personal choice and preference, and in this day of excessive "Political Correctness" why is it frowned upon for a straight guy to voice his displeasure in seeing a public display of "2-Dudes"?

I have nothing against the Gay population. It doesn't affect me either way. I even have friends that are Gay, but I simply don't partake in that lifestyle.

Some people are more sensitive to it than others. For some it is Religious based beliefs. For others it may be moral, or scientific, or biological.
Not everyone believes in that lifestyle.

In all fairness, if the Gay community is going to openly put it out there, then they are going to have to be openly tolerant of everyone else's beliefs also.

A friend of mine is a country cop. He is always getting calls about 2-dudes going at it in the tall grass at the scenic overlook just outside of town. Always 2 guys never a guy/girl, or lesbians. I you're going to do that don't subject the general public/children to it.

Palm Springs, CA has an open gay community, very active, very vocal. They are a tremendous asset to the community.

I have several gay friends and they are some of the nicest guys you would want to meet. Top notch human beings. Compassionate to a fault.

However...

That said, seeing two guys french kissing in public *still* makes me uncomfortable. I know it's me....I'm working on it...still, I feel what I feel...

It's progress not perfection.

Homophobic? or Heterophobic? This world is soooo interesting!

Years ago (when I was a lot younger) I discovered blue movies....I think around 1967. Then at a bucks party (around `68) I glanced at a gay blue movie and was shocked!

I thought I should be in a closet!

Their moves stirred up urges in me!
Yep!....So that`s it!....it`s out there!.....I had discovered at a very very young age that I might be a Lesbian!   :drinks:

You too?  Does Australia at least give you a disabled parking permit for Lesbians in a Man's Body Syndrome?  My DMV rep just gives me a weird look.

You have nothing against the 'gay population' but think it's ok to frown upon two 'dudes' public display of affection...and think it's ok to be homophobic...how does that work?  :dash2:

It's not a lifestyle choice, this is real people...you do know people have been gay for many thousands of years don't you?  (popcorn)
