Time for me to add some Kookaloooooo
:yahoo:

I couldn't pass her up, but now I have another, 1994 model, 49000kms, 1 owner. It was modified from new with cams/flatsides/intake-exhaust valves, and being on the back of it a few years ago know it is seriously fast. It has recently had the std cams and modified original carbs put back in to work with the valves, and 4-1 ceramic coated exhaust. Just needs some minor work (rebuild) on front master cylinder after sitting for a while, and a new back tyre, but starting today it sounded sweet as ever, (loud!). The blip test and throttle response on this thing is crazy, but in a good way.  Is there a pill or something we can take to stop this??   :empathy2:

So I'll keep my '93 as my touring bike and the '94 will be my ride around town bike, (or something like that). I still have the Project '92, its just been pushed a bit further into the corner of the shed for the moment  :sorry:.

FJZ1 1200 - It'll do me just fine.
Timing has much to do with the success of a rain dance.

Gee that's in good nick Ray, where do you find these things. :unknown: What type of seat is that, looks very comfortable.

Nice bike Raymond..  Will you single seat rego it?  Very easy to do these days.

While you adding to the fleet, I'm downsizing . Sold the dream last week and the bonne is next.

X-Ray

You got it Harvy. This one has been really well looked after Bones, not much to do to this one but get a new tyre, replace some fuel line/filter, rebuild the brake master and good to go. The seat feels good, not sure where he got it done but theres a place at Browns Plains (Guzzler Seats) that does great things with worn seats as well. Will probably take the other one there to get looked at.

Single seat rego scares me Ken, Have to remove footpegs, seat must be modified (according to the documents I've read) get a mod plate fitted, take the bike for inspection and crap, nah, not worth it. You are keeping the R1 I hope!

Hey Ray,  single seat rego has all changed now, My Fj and CB are both single seat.. This is what you do.

Download the right form.  Fill it out  and tick the box at the end to say YOU have inspected it ,job done.

Don't even have to take the bike in. Just take the rear pegs off and never carry a pillion.

You even get a pro-rata refund on your CTP insurance.. . no mod plate ,no nothing. Nearly halves the rego cost..

krusty

That's good news. That'll help future restorers in your state. How many have had to fix the cut up seats in the past - thousands?
That reg has put off a lot of non banana benders from buying QLD bikes due to those mods.

Your still suppose to trim your seat but as you dont need to take it in  nobody bothers..

Just take the pegs off and don't double.

A while back me and harvy met at maccas and a copper there stood behind our bikes and radio'd the numbers in . no drama.

They'd throw the book at you with a pillion and so they should...

X-Ray

Great stuff Ken, thanks mate. I will do this with the '94 then, my main bike I maybe once a year still take Alena on the back and one of my daughters is always begging to go for rides. What was the cop doing to you and Harv? checking regos etc?

Me and harvy met up at maccas on the way to bones manshed day. They followed him all the way I'd say purely to
have some breaky.  Anyway i bumped into my old neighbor on his V Max and as we were chatting away ,the 1st cop went into order
the food and the other was bored and with a hand held radio called in the rego numbers to see if there was any interest in them.  No worries.
This was after the single seat was done , he didn't measure my seat..

Bones

I might do that with my little Suzuki, Chris cracks a shit every year when the rego's due on it because It costs $400 odd and sits in the shed most of the time collecting dust. I didn't want to go to the hassle before to get the cheap rego, but seeing as things have changed I might look into it.

Thanks for the heads up about it Ken.

G'day Daz,   let the dream go cause i'm to big for it plus it was the odd man out in my collection..

Selling the bonne cause I tried the brit bike thing and it didnt do anything for me. Even though it looks good

and went good I wouldn't want to travel any further a field than how far I could push it home.  I'm getting my rd350lc

back up and running and going to get either an older air cooled rd350 or kawasaki H1 to restore.

Hey Ray, where's your bike lifter? Have you got it hidden away in a corner?
