I'm in need of a left air scoop for a 1990 fj1200 in dark blue or black ... I can paint it as well. Let me know price and how to pay for it. I'm located in the Pacific Northwest USA.

Hi!

Do you have square rubber grommets for side panels?

Ivan

Ivan,

The correct size of round rubber grommet can be used there instead.
The round grommet needs to be large enough so that it will become square, when installed in the hole.
Use a silicone lubricant (not oil) to keep the grommet soft and slick.

Thx, will try.

I'll also try to fix mine with liquid rubber to see if it works.

Wooow that's great, I haven't seen them on your site. Have a link?

Hey Randy, I mentioned this in "Parts for Sale" but to let you know. I found fuel tank caps in Yamaha dealer in Croatia. Maybe you could investigate that to stock them for guys from NA because I suppose it would be much more expensive if I would buy it and send it to someone in USA.

That fairing protector and the 1100 fuel cap are NLA in the U.S. At this time we are unable to get them but are looking at trying to get them on one of our next orders from Yamaha.

Hi Robert!

Those are not the grommets I need. I need the square one that holds the bottom of the side cover. Part No. 90480-01390-00. I allready asked you for that one some time ago and you said you don't have them. I thought that in the mean time you got some. Other thing worries me alot these days. I got a rubber boot for the trip reset knob from you some time ago but have no idea where I've put it.  :dash1:

90480-01390 is also NLA in the U.S. it would seem I have a request to one of my suppliers to check all dealerships in North America for some.

Ivan,

Sorry, I jumped the gun...you are looking for the lower rectangle side panel grommets.

They are no longer available and I did an inventory search when you checked a while back, there are none on the shelves in the US.

Ivan.

In my experience, most shaped grommets can be replaced with round grommets, of the correct size (maybe slightly larger than expected).  Copy the hole exactly that you have there to a cardboard or plastic card template, or take the panel with the hole in it to an auto parts store.  They can probably find a generic round grommet in stock to fit the hole accurately.
