With the scoops and all I can see a classic, stylized FJ fairing (ala new Mustang, Camaro, Challenger) grafted on......but maybe us old farts are just  nostalgic....

 It looks like a pist off transformer! I do think the motor area of the bike looks modern and tough but the rest of it like all the others just looks the same to me, just like all todays cars, same old same old, but just imagine rolling on that thing through all the gears....

I thought it was interesting that Yamaha put electronic speed control on the MT-10. I wonder if it was because of the complaints for not putting it on the FJ-09.

But,... All that technology and they still can't put a temperature guage on it that actually tells you something. 



Having said that, I'd prefer an FJ-01 also.

This is a very different style. The front was designed by the younger generation watching to many transformer movies and cartoons. That stupid arrangement sticking out back for the license plate and turn signals bugs me. It must bug a lot of other people too as it is the same on the FJ09 and one of the most popular mods on the FJ09 is getting rid of it by putting it up under the seat where it should have been to start with. Yamaha does know how to design good looking nakeds with their xj bikes unfortunately they don't offer them in the US.  Dave
