Stage II and I had a good ride today in SoCal. The weather was perfect, the coast and canyons nice and cool. The cold beer after and meeting a new member also added to our little slice of paradise. We were busy riding and failed to take any pics till after the ride was done. More pics next time. It is still riding season here so who is up for planning another SoCal ride?

The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

No doubt it was a perfect day in the cyns minus the boulders on Tuna. Sorry I had to cut it short FJmonkey, had to take care of the domesticated stuff. We are Trap shooting @ the Park Sunday so call your buddy. :drinks:

How can I forget the pile of boulders blocking our lane as we came around that blind corner. One was as large in diameter as your 16" front wheel. I am happy to say I was relieved, first the pucker moment, then.... Hey, no Red and White plastic bits, and no breaking of rule #1... Yea!!! Now we need to get you a Sena Bluetooth so you can call the corners a head of me on future rides. I will keep Sunday free so I am going if I can make it.

Anyone in SoCal want to shoot some clay pigeons next Sunday? This will be a first for me. An FJ "Shoot-N-Scoot" ride. Safety glasses and ear plugs, I have plenty of extras if you need them.

I ain't braggin, but I usedta did have some skeet mojo... hit 17 on my very first round.

It helped that the guy teaching me was reigning .410 state champ for a few years.

That is some good teaching and good application of it. I will be happy to hit a few.

All he did we to show the technique for turning to track the birds from each position, and remind me how much to lead them from each position.
Did I mention I was using an Remington 870 express?

Looks like a very popular choice for some good reasons... Getting lead down range is worthless if you can't hit what your shooting at...

The pump action adds a bit of complexity to shooting the doubles, especially for the novice skeet shooter.

A good tip for new clay-shooters, is to shoot at a few stationary ones first down range, to get a feel for the distance and the timing.
It may help you judge the lead-timing for the moving ones.
