Tim M. Update

Folks-

I've just read over on FB that Tim M. from UT, whom many of you know, is in the hospital.  I read this:

"My heart is heavy today for our dear friend Tim M** whose fight with throat cancer has landed him in the ER today because of continuous bleeding. Lifting Tim and Tricia Click S**-M** up to the Lord in prayer."

Pray, or hope, or send flowers (not sure where -somewhere near Apple Valley, UT) or do whatever it is you do.  I just wanted to let folks know.  Tim has made no bones about sharing his disease with all of his friends on FB, so I felt it was OK to pass this along here, in the event that folks did not know.

Very bad thing to happen to such a stand up guy.  He's the one who originally came up with the Mr. Bean nickname for me.  He could ride way faster than a lot of people, even when two up.  I wish all the best for him and his family.

We all get off of our wallets to help those orphans every year, now it is time to get off of our wallets for one of our own.

Sorry, I do not do FB so I was not aware, but now that I am I want to bring it to everyone's attention. There are many out there suffering, some in silence and some outspoken, from cancer. Each of us has been affected by someone we know directly that has battled cancer, so lets help those we know.

If you want to send flowers, please do but lets put our money in the pocket of the man that needs our help not only the florist taking him flowers.

I was also planning a little raffle for this weeks rally and was looking for the appropriate recipient of the proceeds and that answer has been found. I will also be posting up on the rally post to advise everyone attending.

Nah Dave, I'm sorry to say, I am not making it that far south this year. 

Now, I AM riding at that time, but we're staying up north.  I could not get the group I ride with to make the trek down to TN.   It would have been just me, or maybe me and one other guy, if I'd been firm on heading to TN.  I seriously considered it, but there was so much interest otherwise, I capitulated.  There will be 9 of us riding together this year and we'll be centering around around eastern MD/ south PA, and Northern VA, We'll be zig-zagging across the roads in the glacially formed mountains, that arc across PA into MD, that are known as the 'Pennsylvania folds'.  There is some very good riding and it's less than three hours to get there, from this area, so I was convinced to add more people, to a more local ride....

**Next year though, I will be there.**

Health Update
A very brief update because finding the time right now for a long update is a bit too much of a challenge.
I am home and prayerfully on the road to recovery. I am by no means out of the woods so to speak, but compared to the dying person that left for Europe for alternative treatment a couple months ago I am a new creation! I believe God has turned a corner in my healing (I pray for a complete healing miracle every day) God has also blessed me with an infilling of the Holy Spirit as He did with disciples on the day of Pentecost and I feel truly blessed by Him.
