Yesterday I had a couple of major strokes of luck.

First, I lucked into a right hand scoop at a local boneyard, and then, after getting home, found a blinker and a bracket. So I put those on. Today I replaced the droopy peg, washed the oil off the engine, knocked some sense into the carburetors, found the bag of valve cover donuts I bought back when, put them on. Glued the plastic. Washed the bike some more. Glued some more. Got some license plate screws and plastic retainers for upholstery. Fixed the loose mesh in the inner panel. Adjusted the idle mixture screws to three turns out. Reassembled.

All that done, I made a quick run to the auto parts store. Runs pretty good.

The steering bearing was a little loose. Tightened that up. Gonna try a longer trip tomorrow.
