G'day,

I did a few searches to try and find the info, nothing there.  I checked the part numbers, and while they are different, does someone know what the difference is?  The headers and mufflers are different numbers, but I am o.k to modify if someoone knows in what way they are different.

Cheers, Gareth

The mounting point is different for the can. But they can be adapted and fit both ways.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

The 1200 down tubes will bolt right on. The collectors are interchangeable. The mufflers are a bit different, the '86/'87 mufflers are a direct match. The '88 and later mufflers will work, but a small dog bone type adaptor will need to be fabricated.

Thanks for the replies guys. I will buy the set of pipes I am watching. My pipes are showing their age and a spare set would be handy.
