You can get a Hagon shock that'll suit your budget. I've had one on my bike for a while now and have had no problems with it and still happy with its performance.

Whoops, looks like Mark beat me to it.

Looks like the Hagon is my best solution for the price. Bones do you know off hand which one i need to order? Was it easy to install? Plug and Play?

I like the option of the remote spring preload adjuster that Hagon offers.

I wonder when or if Penske and RPM will offer the same?

Well Tex, going by the website the code number for a 3xw shock is M62060. They are plug and play, the hardest part for me was getting the top bolt undone to get the old one out. While its apart, it's a good idea to inspect and grease the bearings in the suspension linkages so you know everything in good order.

Another thing too is the Hagon is a little bit longer than stock so it'll lift the arse of the bike up as well without having to install shorter dogbones, when mine is on the centre stand I can just fit a CD case between the ground and tyre.

Too young to be old but old enough to know better.

Yep got a hagon on my 3xw  :good: good shock and easy to set up tho I had to give it 2 complete turns from stock on the preload to suit my riding ..usually with a pillion .. :good:

I had a Hagon shock with the hydraulic adjuster, it was heaps better than the standard.

After about 13mths (yes after the warranty period) the seal blew, the Western Australian goat tracks (read roads) took there toll.
I then purchased the RPM shock, crap WHAT a difference, it was chalk and cheese, with the emulators/ racetech springs and the rear RPM shock it did/ still does handle and ride fantastic.

The only change I made was to put the harder rear spring for the rougher Aussie roads
Knowing what I know now I would not consider cheaper solutions.
